Our troublesome original release, named for the problematic first brew day which hugely emphasised its hop bitterness. It's matured and evolved nicely over the years, with us. Big tropical hop flavour from local varieties with strong bitterness from an English hop to honour its origins, all balanced by plenty of malt.

Bottle split at Craft Clerko, big thanks to Dave Wingman Willis, 27/01/14. Lightly hazed orange amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is skunky hops, Mary Jane Wanna notes - oh so hoibal, caramel malt, bitter orange. Taste comprises earthy hops, bitter orange, light spice, lemon rind, caramel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, grassy bitterness in the closure. Ok IPA but a few notches from dem higher up draws!

Pours dark amber with a large head.Nose shows light fruit (pear, apple), biscuity and bready malt, and grapefruit.Pretty aggressive flavours. Pine, grapefruit, some cookie dough-like malt and a full-on sharp bitterness.Carbonation seems to high.

Bottle. Just hazy amber with a modest beige head. Pungent grassy/ tropical/ zesty citrus Kiwi hop aroma. Lots of biting aromatics, meek plainish caramel, thumpingly bitter finish. Bit of a chainsaw on a chopstick, this one.

Dark amber-brown and hazy. Nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, crystal malt, taste is lightly hoppy, med bitterness that is quite clean. Less crystal than the aroma, though it comes out more in the finish. Good balance.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of nelson hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of nelson hops, caramel, and malt, leading to a very bitter finish.

amber brown color. Big fresh hoppy nose. Small dollop of butterscotch in the mouth with apricots, citrus and apples. Moderate bitter finish. Well balanced. More of an extra pale ale, than an ipa. Very enjoyable.
