Assertive bitterness from the New World hops with subtle fruits esters from the Belgian yeast, all beautifully balanced with the addition of malted rye.

Bottle - Perfumy and citrus with some herbal notes. Cloudy gold with a rich off white head. Up front orange peel bitterness, perfumy and effervescent. Nice and fun.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Banana, toffee, peach, pine and spice in the aroma. Peach, banana, grapefruit and a hint of spice feature in the taste. Very nice and easy to drink for the strength.

Hazy orange amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. Floral yeast, slightly bitter. Strong marmalade and citric peel hops. Whisper of mango. Crisp dry finish. Bitter linger. Good.

Bottle at home. Consumed to celebrate entering the dizzy heights of #5 Scotland rater. It pours cloudy orange-amber with a medium white head. The nose is fresh pine, hay, spicy Belgian yeast, hay, orange and grapefruit. The taste has an immediate big bitter bite, then resin, wood, grapefruit rind, pithy orange, spice, hay, earth and alcohol kick on the back end with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rather nice balance between hopped up IPA and Belgian yeast. One of Stewartβs best.

On tap @ at its launch at the Southern Bar, Edinburgh. Appearance - blonde, with a tiny bit of haze and a nicely proportioned head. Nose - intense pink grapefruit or blood orange with creamy lemon pith. Taste - the pink grapefruit is confirmed and boy is it intense, lasting through the finish and into the next minute after taking a taste. Palate - currently, itβs actually a bit sharper than expected possibly due to the carbonation from keg. Lovely creamy texture and excellent length. Overall - I also tried the bottled version which is bottle conditioned and there are signs that it will become creamier over time and will surpass the keg version. This is one to revisit in a couple of months.
