Assertive bitterness from the New World hops with subtle fruits esters from the Belgian yeast, all beautifully balanced with the addition of malted rye.

Beertopia 2015 #9. Slightly translucent peach copper pour. Aroma is minimal - some fruity sour hops. Taste is crisp - fine carbonation - dry and hoppy. Good but no one flavor stands out. Would try again.

Bottle shared at The Cad’s 10 year get together. 29/03/2015. Thanks to Leighton? Hazed golden orange coloured pour with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, lemon, and piney hop. Flavour is composed of biscuit and toffee malts, citrus and passion fruit hop. Palate is airy carbonation, oily. Decent.

33cl bottle from beer52.com. An attractive, post-modernist label on the bottle is worth an extra point here. A clearish amber pour with a tight white head; the aroma is almost eyewatering with the resin from the hops; in the mouth however it’s smooth and fairly easy drinking, despite the dryness from the load of hops, and there’s an interesting blend of fruity and woody flavours; surprisingly at the end there’s a lingering toasty, oaty taste from the malts, and a touch of yeast to give it a Belgian feel. Excellent.

Bottle shared at the Cad’s 10th Anniversary Tasting - CBC Clerkenwell, London. Thanks to the Scotland crew for giving me this one. Pours unclear, rich gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds pale bread, citrus fruits and crackers. Light to medium sweet flavor with dried pine bitterness, hay, some lemon rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with more crackers, white bread and citrus rind. Just fine overall.

Bottle from BenH. Thanks. Way way over carbonated. Hazy amber colour lasting thick beige head. Almost a Belgian blond estery yeast aroma and flavour. Settles down into a Belgian blond with spicy hops on the finish. Didn’t see it was a Belgian Ale. Explains the huge carbonation. Pretty dry pale Belgian ale. I liked it. Hops on the finish are excellent, touch of grapefruit without being overly dominant. I liked it. My kinda beer.
