Assertive bitterness from the New World hops with subtle fruits esters from the Belgian yeast, all beautifully balanced with the addition of malted rye.

12oz can at Guilford Arms pours a murky burnt orange with some fluffy white head. Nose has coriander seeds, some straw, dried citrus, candy. Flavor comes together a little better, light pepper and spice, some candy, orange, lightly vinous, some yeast, a little papaya. Finishes spritzy. Interesting.

Clear amber beer, white head. Sour hoppy aroma. Sour, fruity hop taste. A bit too sour for my taste for an IPA. Would have helped if it was cooler.

330ml can from trade with AshtonMccobb. Many thanks! Pours lightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Fresh fruity nose. Taste is bright, hoppy with a bristling bitterness. Expected more of a yeast element, the bitterness taking the reigns a fair bit but it’s nice.

Can at Southern, Edinburgh, Saturday 19th March 2016 in the company of Dad and Barry. Mid amber with a film of islands once the head settled (which was quite quickly). Yeast is assertive but not too aggressive, nicely bitter, fruity with a good furry, hoppy tongue rub, like it. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Beertopia 2015 #9. Slightly translucent peach copper pour. Aroma is minimal - some fruity sour hops. Taste is crisp - fine carbonation - dry and hoppy. Good but no one flavor stands out. Would try again.

Bottle shared at The Cad’s 10 year get together. 29/03/2015. Thanks to Leighton? Hazed golden orange coloured pour with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, lemon, and piney hop. Flavour is composed of biscuit and toffee malts, citrus and passion fruit hop. Palate is airy carbonation, oily. Decent.

33cl bottle from beer52.com. An attractive, post-modernist label on the bottle is worth an extra point here. A clearish amber pour with a tight white head; the aroma is almost eyewatering with the resin from the hops; in the mouth however it’s smooth and fairly easy drinking, despite the dryness from the load of hops, and there’s an interesting blend of fruity and woody flavours; surprisingly at the end there’s a lingering toasty, oaty taste from the malts, and a touch of yeast to give it a Belgian feel. Excellent.
