West Coast IPA
Welcome to the world of beer paradoxes! With Florida’s Hidden Springs Ale Works Brewery, we set out to prove that you can enjoy “Western Style” in the East. We may not have a West Coast in Tampa or Louny, but our taste for West Coast style IPAs is uncompromising – just like this modern citrus bomb with tropical fruit notes and a hefty bitterness that transports you straight to the sun-drenched beaches of the West – even though you’re actually on the other side of the map!
Florida, home of tropical sunshine, Atlantic breezes… but also a proper West Coast IPA! With Hidden Springs Ale Works, brewers from Tampa, Florida, we decided to tear down the coastal boundaries and bring a bit of California spirit east. Our West Coast IPA is a celebration and more modern interpretation of the style that defined the American craft beer revolution. Using Cryo versions of Citra, Strata and Idaho 7 hops, we’ve achieved an intense aromatic profile full of citrus, tropical fruit and a light resinousness. Idaho 7 adds citrus, Strata brings in strawberries and papaya, while Citra rounds things out with juicy tropical notes. All this on a perfectly fermented light body that is pleasant to drink despite the higher bitterness. This West Coast IPA is proof that when east meets west, the results are worth it. So pour yourself a glass, close your eyes, and let yourself be transported to the west coast, or wherever you wish!
Hops Used: Magnum, Citra Cryo, Strata, Idaho 7

Etwas dumpfer, leicht karamellig herber Beginn. Trocken, keine Bitterkeit, die dann aber doch noch auftaucht. Trocken herb, getreidig, mittellanger Abgang. Ok. 9/8/9/8/8/8

Tap at Poctivej Výčep with Gurthnar. Misty amber-golden body, off-white head. Citrus candy, resinous and herbal notes in the aroma, light onion. Creamy, sweetish taste, bit candyish, resinous, melted old orange rock candy, low herbal and onion notes by the finish. Weird hazy sweey westcoastoid. Not my cup of west coast...

Tap at Poctivej vycep. Med-full body, lots of juiciness. Med-high carbo. Medium bitterness, medium juicy sweetness, med-high zestiness. Lots of citrusy and other tropical hops character, very fresh feeling, very good. Easy drinking too. Kinda a west coast - hazy combo feeling, but works pretty well.
