On tap. Pours a gold/amber with light head. Aromas of pine, wine gums and toasted malts. Flavors of sharp pine, dull grapefruit, a bit of tropical fruit, and dry toasty malts.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is bright, with lots of piney hops, some melon, resinous notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with tropical melon notes, bitter piney hops, and biscuity malt. Piney and fruity with great balance. Excellent.

Poured from the tap. Hazy brownish yellow with small white head. Earthy with a bit of resin, seems a bit dirty and old, though it’s not.

Lightly hazy, mild golden colour with an orange hue. Big frothy white head, good retention and thick foamy lacing. Hoppy nose with green leaves and some notes of citrus. The mouthfeel is pretty dry with some good bitterness. The taste shows the hops, but I do feel the grassiness is nicely balanced with the fruitiness, for a West Coast style IPA. I do like this IPA.

Can shared with the KL Tasting crew. Poured a hazy golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, grassy tropical citrus fruits, light dry hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter, with a smooth, rich, malt, light biscuit, citrus fruit, light pepper spice, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

On tap at Craft Edmonton. Clear medium fold with a small white head leaving patchy lace. Nose is big pine with some orange peel. Light sweet malts support a big resinous bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Nice. 8/3+/7+/3+/15

A lot of fresh citrus peel and some green onions like mashed potatoes. Decent balance, though hops aren’t supported by a solid enough malt character here to be a truly big IPA. Hopefully if they keep perfecting this beer it will come along. A little bit cloying on aftertaste. Tall can from Little Guy liquor co in the SHP. Represent.

Slight haze, amber colour. Not much head. Has a minty, sage aroma. With a hint of crystal malt sweetness. Light bitterness up front, gives way to sweetness. There is again the minty sweetness in the finish. Balanced, restrained example.

Tasting at Josh’s, growler
Hazy amber color, a bit dull. A bit earthy, manure, dank, hay. Lean, smooth, moderately sweet; the malts have also some hay and chamomile touch, toffee; strong bitterness, moderately resiny, a bit piney, lightly minty in the end.
Nice, but tastes like old beer (and I don’t think it’s old).
