What Nothing But The Blood Orange lacks in actual blood oranges (they were out of season), it certainly makes up for in cathedral sized citrus flavours. A chorus of bitter orange peel harmonise with a choir of all the best hops (Citra, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin) making this a divine experience.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge Convention 2018 - cheers all! Pours cloudy orange-brown with a slight foamy head. Tangy citric character in here, some grass, pine, earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes lightly resinous, with notes of toasted brown bread, orange peel. Um, OK.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge get together. Odd spiced orange aroma. Diarreah in appearance. Orange. Light bitter. Thin. Watery. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Not overly keen on this one. Remains drinkable though.

Shared bottle at the Cotteridge gathering on 23rd June 2018. Murky orange body, murky orange aroma, murky orange taste. There was also a supporting act of other citrus/tropical fruit aromas and flavours, so they lied about 'nothing but the blood orange'!

Bottle split at Cotteridge Convention IV, many thanks, 23/06/18. Very lightly hazed orange with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is bitter orange, perfume, light spruce, tangerine, breads. Taste comprises citric pith, blood orange, grapefruit dusting, straw, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Ok.

Had this at the Ratebeer Tasting and Cotteridge Gathering, Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, Saturday 23rd June 2018. Beer number nine. No great looker it has to be said, it pours a dirty amber with a filmy dirty white head atop. I know some folk were a little critical of this suggesting it was orange overload with little or no beer, however I think that the name does suggest that this was always going to be the general direction. I like the orange, ok it's a little too sweet, there is a nice light juiciness throughout and it isn't that beery, but I still rather enjoyed this. A6 A2 T7 P3 Ov14 3.2
