Legacy No.14 is an Imperial Stout aged in Plum Whiskey, French Whiskey, and Rum barrels. The stout’s rich, roasted malt base is enhanced by the complex, fruity, and sweet notes from the plum whiskey, French whiskey, and rum barrels. Amplified by the caramel, molasses, and tropical fruit flavors from the barrels, along with the inherent sweetness of the stout. A blend of ripe plums, orchard fruits, and tropical fruit flavors, creating a layered and juicy sweetness. Additionally, a mix of baking spices and woody, earthy tones from all three barrels, contributing to a well-rounded and nuanced flavor profile. Overall, you can expect a decadent and sophisticated Imperial Stout with a rich tapestry of chocolate, vanilla, fruit, and spice, enhanced by the layered influences of plum whiskey, French whiskey, and rum barrels.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 22/04/2025.
Pitch black topped with a good sized lasting khaki head.
Nose is chocolate, dark malts, molasses, spice, dried fruit esters, dates, figs, caramelised brown sugars.
Taste comprises figgy jam, caramel, molasses, rum licks, plummy tang, booze, spice, light herb, mellow roasted notes.
Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid complex impy stout with good barrel presence.

Can. Near clear deep brown beer, small tan head. Very smooth palate, decent superfine carbonation on the back end. Soft smooth and fairly rich dark malts, a nice dark malt creamy sweetness, some dark chocolate Malteasers. Soft but pleasing cappuccino, really comes through on the back end. The 3 barrel aged treatments blend together as smooth and rich and ripe fruity with a mild tangy bitterness. The plum whiskey asserts with a berry fruitiness that keeps the other two barrels light. Smooth finish, slightly savoury and slightly tangy bitter fruity. Nicely done. A rich and smooth Impy with an impressive barrel aged blend that really works. Nice sweet and bitter contrast.
