Can from Popp, such a random find at a Maltese webshop but surely a welcome one. Pours semi opaque golden with a quickly dissipating head. Nose is faint honey, citruses and grassy hops. Taste is rather moderate, showing some sweetness, and surprisingly low bitternes. Vague grassy notes, some honey, and interestingly a boozy touch also shows. Oxidation also start to show. It’s light on body (even for the abv) and has a soft carbonation, pretty easy to drink. Not quite great.

Light golden coloured body with a thinnish, pale white head, that starts at just two centimetres tall and fades quite quickly. Aroma of tea, light grain, a dose of lemongrass, some herbs and a dash of flowers towards the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong herbal and grassy flavours at first with a strong and pungent hop note that then shows some grassy and funky notes with a light herbal and assertive hop profile that shows the tropical and citrus fruits more than anything. Aftertaste shows some light fruits and citrus notes with quite a bit of bitterness from the grassy and very herbal hops, noticeable at the end. Overall, a nice option considering the other pale lagers here, but in terms of an IPA in America, this is a bit underwhelming. I preferred the Pasteur Street Jasmine to this one, as well. I sampled this stubby, 33 cL bottle purchased from Circle K (165-167 Le Thanh Ton) in Saigon, Vietnam on 08-August-2019 for 74,000VND sampled a day later on 09-August-2019 on my tenth wedding anniversary in Saigon, Vietnam.

Hazy golden. Aroma is mango hops slight dish water some other fruity stuff. Taste is harsh hoppy tartness a bit scratchy and mealy in the throat. Sour and bitter finish. Not so pleasant.

Tap at the Urban Basement, HCMC. Poured a clear light golden colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, yeast, woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a malt, dry yeasty, floral dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a long bitter finish. The hop combo really didn’t work too well for me. The floral bitter palate wasn’t pleasant and it seemed to last forever. Needs a little more work.
