Legacy No.15 is an Imperial Stout aged in Orange Brandy and Bourbon barrels. The stout’s roasted malt base is enriched by the fruity, sweet, and spicy influences of the orange brandy and the rich, caramel, and charred notes from the bourbon barrels. Enhanced by the caramel and vanilla from the bourbon, along with the bright, citrusy sweetness from the orange brandy. The orange brandy imparts a zesty citrus flavor that pairs harmoniously with the stout’s inherent dark fruit and caramel notes. Additionally, a blend of baking spices and woody, charred notes from both barrels creates a multi-dimensional flavor profile. Overall, you can expect a decadent Imperial Stout with rich layers of chocolate and coffee, complemented by bright citrus notes, caramel sweetness, and complex oaky and spicy elements from the barrel aging.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 31/05/2025.
Black topped with a tan cap that soon vanishes.
Nose is rich roast, brown sugar melt, umami, molasses, charr, burnt toffee, bourbon pinch.
Taste comprises rich roast, earthy, dried fruit rinds, chocolate shavings, bourbon spike, booze tunes, molasses.
Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close peppered with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy BA sipper.

Can. Almost clear very deep amber brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head. Smooth palate, airy low density but also has a slight dragging viscosity. Good fine carbonation. Good dark chocolate malts, a little dark chocolate cream and dark chocolate Malteasers. Bold and rich ripe fruity bourbon, a little bourbon spice. Orange brandy is the defo bass player in the this brew, unsung but without one, yer f.. flabbergasted,,? Some alcoholic marmalade on the back end of the supremely rich but, blinking drinkable brew.

Malm February tasting - bourbon and brandy laced dark roasted and sweet malty with rich chocolate, some Terrys chocolate orange citrus notes chiming in, full bodied, bourbon laced lingering warming malty action into the finish. Lovely.
