Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2023. Golden in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Floral hops, some lemon and stone fruits, slightly yeasty malts, before a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Pours a clear orange gold colour with a small frothy white head that quickly disappeared. The aroma is fruity, pink grapefruit, white grape and some earthy hop notes. A moderately sweet taste, sweet malts, grapefruit and peach flavours with a moderate hoppy bitterness.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a golden amber with a small white head and good lacing. The aroma has floral hops and malts with a hint of yeast. In the mouth, malts and yeast are the main flavours along with some floral hops and traces of banana, spices and cloves. Finish is a little dry. This is definitely better than I expected – I would call it a Belgian style IPA though.

My first JDW Festival beer of the Spring 2023 season, and it's a 'foreign' one. Clear and golden with a frothy white head and a subtle fruit aroma. A kick of hop bite up front, some fruity notes and a dry, bitter finish.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a speckled off white head. Aroma is nice hedgerow hop, pine, gooseberry. White grape. Earthy grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, grassy hop, green berries, hedgerow, firm bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, some hop oils, decent cask condition.

Cask @ Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Clear, slightly deeper golden with a glow and a thin head. Feeling a little stronger tasting than it is, there's a pretty good hop-malt balance here with a touch of biscuit to the latter behind a citrus flavour. Bitter finish.
