Cask-conditioned, on gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2018. Copper in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet caramel notes, some chewy malts, beery fruits, a hint of toastiness leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Clear red ale with a decent off-white head. Flavour is light malt and a touch of fruit. Taste is dry, bitter malty fruit. Burger all else to it, really. Meh.

Handpull cask at the Felix Holt (JDW), Nuneaton. Amber and clear (once it settles), with a large cream/khaki head. Malt notes to the aroma, some leafy hop, a bit of a metallic note. Bitter on the tongue. Not unrelentingly so but more so than I expected, remaining bitter to the finish. Light white chocolate and berries in the aftertaste. Not terribly exciting but decent enough.

Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear dark brown colour with a frothy, long-lasting, off white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt, chocolate, treacle, liqouirce, woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth sweet toffee caramel malt, dry woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
