Medium brown. Aroma is roasty, palate chocolatey, bit roasty, just a well-made balanced stout. Moderate bitterness and off-dry finish.

Bottle at Inch, Penang. Near black with a small tan head. Aroma of roast, cocoa, espresso, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is dry malt light caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter with a medium roasty dry biscuit malt, light hop light liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A little light and a little too liqourice bitter for me, but id certainly order another so it can’t be so bad.

Bottled 33 cl from Chas Cole Cellars, Belmont/Geelong, on August 1, 2013.Clear, very dark red to black color, tan to light brown lasting head. Sweet, malty, molasses scent. Sweet, grainy, roasted taste. Roasted aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

Pours black with a small lasting head.Nose shows lots of chocolate, quite creamy. Pretty nice! Fair bit of roasted malt too. Some story with the flavours but more centred towards the roasted malt.Too much carbonation.Pretty simple but still enjoyable.

Pours very dark brown with no head. Odd aroma of fruit, soy sauce and dark sugars. Taste has some roasty bitterness and cold coffee. Rather watery. Lacks presence. Tastes more like a schwartzbier than a stout.
