Tap at Mrs Parmas, Melbourne. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is pine needle, grassy citrus hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a crisp, fresh, dry pepper spice, fruity hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

(Bottle) Pours slightly hazy amber brown with short-lived white head. Lovely fruit salad aroma, with biscuity and rubbery hints. Nice palate, medium body with good carbonation. Something weird going on with the taste though - I get a dominant rubbery medicinal flavour which is quite unpleasant and overpowering (I guess this is the resinous part). There’s some nice bitterness in the finish. Taste too weird. (BB 07 APR 18)

330ml bottle into glass. Cloudy golden beer with solid white head. Nose of caramel malt and citrus fruit. Zingy mouthfeel, bitter earthy taste. Finish is aspirin bitter with more nutty earthiness. Top quality, outstanding ale.

Cloudy dull light tan, just a thin head. Older passion fruit nose. Sweetish character with heavy, dull malts, excessive yeastiness and the hops show overripe fruit.

Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head which dissipates relatively quickly. Has a delightful floral, fruity aroma featuring apricot, peach, lychee, melon, passionfruit and lollies. Take a sip and you get some light caramel malt followed by an explosion of sweet stone, tropical and citrus fruit, particularly apricot, peach, mango and pear. This is definitely on the sweet side for an IPA but you still get a big dose of resiny hops at the end which keep things well and truly in check. The body is medium to full and the carbonation a touch above medium. Damn this is good - not really a typical West Coast IPA as the blurb suggests, but displays great balance and character, and could almost pass for a DIPA. A wonderful, distinctive brew, which makes me proud to be an Aussie. Please Mash, don’t make this a once off! Rating 4.2.
Re-rate 19/12/2015. Still very nice, but not quite as good the second time round.

Aroma of grapefruit, boiled lollies, mint pine needles. Honey and loads of citrus in the mouth. Great palate. I’m not sure what combination of hops they’ve used but they’re really fresh and clean. Fantastic.

Bottle, 10C. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of passionfruit, lychees, pine, kumquats, slightly toasty caramel. Oily. Sweet caramel and tropical fruit, resin, a little pepper, firm bitterness where it dries out a fair bit at the end. A bit too sweet but a very harmonious beer.
