The Duvel Tripel Hop Cashmere is a Belgian IPA with a nicely balanced bitterness as you are used to from Duvel. 'Cashmere' is the result of crossing a female 'Cascade' hop plant with a male 'Northern Brewer' hop plant.
With this Duvel Tripel Hop we use aroma hop Cashmere as the third hop variety. Grown in Washington's Yakima Valley, this hop enriches Duvel's flavor palette with fresh notes of coconut, citrus, peach and melon.
To brew Duvel Tripel Hop, the brewers do not simply add a third hop, but they use the dry-hopping technique. This brewing technique means that in addition to the hops during the boiling process, extra hops are also added at a later stage of the brewing process (during the lagering process). This makes the hop aromas more intense in the final beer. Refined aromas and a pronounced hop character. With this beer you can fully enjoy an intense taste experience. Show Less

Taster showing pale gold with a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows intense notes of Belgian yeast and light pineapple.
The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately sweet with a Belgian forwardness and a light syrupy finish followed by a moderate bitterness.

Bottle from Sandersput, Ninove. Clear golden, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of pomelo, unripe peach, melno, pineapple, bread crust, baker's yeast, soap, vague coconut. Taste has sweetish melon & pineapple, sourish citrus and a bready-yeasty malt body, bit soapy & spicy. Dryish, floral hoppy finish, somewhat grassy, lingering citrus and spicy yeast accents, dash of warming jenever-like alcohol. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, average carbonation. Greener and drier version of Duvel, not much more.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy, citrusy and herbal-spicy, slightly fruity, hoppy aroma, spicy and minimally sweet-ish-bready, pale malty background, hints of lemon, woodruff, some coconut, a touch of mint, weed, fresh hay, melon basic layer. Taste is sweet-ish, biscuity, pale malty and moderately bitter, herbal-spicy, slightly grassy and floral, fruity, minimally citrusy hoppy, hints of woodruff, mint, coconut, a touch of lemon, chamomile, melon basic layer again (honeydew melon, cantaloupe); lingering, bitter-herbal hoppy finish. Slightly oily, watery texture, dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Exposes a manifoldness of hop flavours over solid, well-known base beer - good!

Bottle, 9.5%. Citric aroma, quite lemony. Almost clear yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off malty but turns drier. Interesting lemon and vanilla hop flavour. Lemony finish. Alcohol bitterness in the finish.
