A classic Bitter brewed with a careful blend of malts for a dark amber hue and a perfect balance between bitter and sweet. East Kent Goldings and Challenger hops provide a wonderful aroma of spice, honey and delicate citrus.

Handpull cask at the Wellington, Sheffield. Amber and clear after a quick settle. A thick buff-coloured head. Sticky malt, a slight astringency in the aroma. Taste has a decent little bitterness to it which resorts in the finish. Light body with a little carbonation. Verdict: a very basic bitter from a very good outfit. Clean and refreshing.

Cask at the Wellington, Sheffield on 6th March 2026. Medium brown with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Malty and richly fruity in aroma and liquid pass, and a finish of spiced grasses and caramel malts. Full to medium bodied with an engaging texture.

Cask. Wellington. Clear amber gold. Thin super dense lasting fully lacing white froth. Name suggests a nod to Stones bitter and it’s not far off. Light semi spicy malt with fruity semi spicy hop leaf. Very quaffable with good depth of flavour and bitterness. Solid bitter in perfect nick.
