Named after the River Mersey that flows in the North West of England, near families linked to both breweries, Mersey unfolds with rich layers of toffee, caramel, roasted nuts and baker’s chocolate, creating a smooth, deeply satisfying drinking experience. Brewed with traditional Maris Otter malt from England and Golden Triticale from @blueoxmalthouse (Maine), it gains depth from these carefully selected character malts, giving it a deep amber-brown hue and a smooth, off-white head.
Hopped with U.S.-grown Fuggles from @indiehops and fermented with a classic British yeast strain handpicked by Creature Comforts, Mersey is a tribute to tradition while remaining uniquely our own.

Can (02663 22163--who knows what these numbers mean?) from One Stop Market. Murky dark brown, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is rich, roasted caramel and earthy malt. Taste mirrors aroma. Smooth, frothy texture but thin body and a bit watery/flat carbonation with earthy, roasted malt finish. Aroma and flavor are pretty strong, though not complex. Low ABV shows itself in pretty weak palate.

No legible canning date. But a few months old, stored in the fridge and drunk 5/23/25. Compliments of CLW. Thanks, Chris!
Dark amber, clear. Small, beige head settles at light cover quickly.
Very toasty, woody, with long toffee and a very subtle, earthy smokiness. Clean and malty with mild dark fruit accents.
Toasty, woody, crusty but with ample, succulent malt notes, though again drying out on the finish. Very drinkable and very flavorful for its size. All the great things said about Schilling are true, but I think this, the extreme flavor they pull out of ~3.5% abv beers, is ultimately what impresses me the most.

16oz can pours a translucent nut brown with a finger cap of khaki head. Nose has malt and bread crust, nutty, some brown sugar, earthy. Flavor is very earthy and bread crusty, toast, some burnt root veg. Marzipan. Dryz light finish. Bang on.

Sampled from the tap at As Is. Pours a near clear amber brown with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is full of bread with earthy grains and a bit of leaves backing. Flavor has strong bread and earthy grains with some leafiness backing.

Can at home, happy to get to try this as was sold out last week where I looked. Lovely mahogany brown pour and sudsy one finger beige top. Nose is toffee and bready. Tastes of rich dark bread, toffee, leather, some dates and fig. Smooth palate. Very good

Pours beautiful, clear mahogany into a willi. Mocha head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Molasses and toasted brown bread aromas. Medium bodied and dry with raisin brown bread, fig and molasses upfront turning to dry, earthy pumpernickel in the medium length finish. Nice.
