Tap at the Napier, Melbourne. Poured a hazy medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is light grassy yeast citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light crisp fruity woody floral light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation,

330ml bottle from Porters Liquor, Bexley. Orangey golden colour, white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of dank citrusy hops. Taste is malt caramel, alittle biscuit, with citric grapefuit, woody, pine, resiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry dusty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

330ml bottle into glass. Big nose of earth, pine needles, grass, lemon zest. Cloudy golden beer with thin white head and many tiny bubbles. Full-bodied, zingy. Finish is more subdued with a little malt showing under the fruity hoppiness. Spicy and peppery right at the end. Easy drinking, 6.4% ABV not noticeable. Very nice.

On tap at Beer Deluxe, pours a cloudy orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light hop resins and biscuity malt. Flavour is medium aggressive, with resinous hops, a little citrus and bready caramel malt. Standard, but well-executed. Solid.

Tap. Rosy amber with a dense off white head. Delicate and mainly floral aroma with mandarins, grapefruit, lemon, some tropical fruit. Light bodied. Light bread some toast, peach mandarin, some lychee, a melange of citrus fruit By no means a hop bomb. Dries out gently with floaty modestly bitter finish. Subtle and really good, although I wondered whether they were going for something punchier. [3.7] Does seem more assertive in the bottle (when fresh - definitely watch the date on this one) but nothing is excessive. This is very solid.

My understanding is that this is straight up a Stone & Wood brand, not a contract brew. Cloudy tan. Big hop aroma of orangey, pithy, c hop character. Moderate bitterness, orangey flavour notes, with a touch of yeast. Nice, balanced old school ipa.

On tap at Gertrude Hotel, Fitzroy. Big stonefruit nose. Golden, almost amber in colour. Surprisingly robust malt bill, with caramel notes. But this is all about the hops. They are punchy but not overwhelming. Multi-faceted rather than singular. Well worth revisiting. probably best new Aussie IPA (along with Pirate Life) of past year.
