(Bottle) Pours clear amber brown with small short-lived loose white head. Nice aroma - pine and citrus with hints of biscuit. Medium body, medium carbonation. Taste starts of rich with dark toffee malts and dried fruit. It thins out a bit mid-palate and then a decent amount of bitterness kicks in for the finish. Different, and pleasant enough.

Tap at Cookie, Melbourne. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, grassy, pine, light citrus floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp fresh woody fruity metallic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Great nose, pepper, spice, fruitcake, pine. Copper red beer with thin film on top. Slight fizz, full body. Finish is dark fruits and malt with candied orange. Should be a Christmas beer! Definitely a winter beer, excellent.

Bottle. Amber with a small off white head. A: Toast and caramel, some orange zest, pine. Malty with toffee and toast, bitterness is just more than balancing. Some stewed fruit that seems slightly tropical. Some pine and spices. Bitterness is subdued at first but nags its way through after a time. Didn’t do much for me but maybe partly because it’s not my sort of thing.
