From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Pretty roasty BIPA with an aroma of piney hops, roasted malt, notes of tropical fruits. Flavour is firm roasty hoppy bitterness, chocolate, mild sweet. Body is medium. Solid.

Tap at Hoppzak. Black with light tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Espresso, nutty and buttery chocolatey, deep roast, almost ashy, hoppy. Big sweet and bitter. Full body, creamy feel and soft carbonation.

Tap at Hoppzak. Black with biiiig creamy brown head. Roast, quite some chocolate, earthy, light fruity hops, soft coffee, creamy malts, light cheese and old wood. Solid medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. More like an imperial porter, quite nice.

Bottle shared @ final old style THT. Opaque black color, medium to full sized beige to light brown head. Aroma is malts, hops, dark malts mixed with hops perfectly. Taste malts, hops, roast, bitter. Average to medium body and carbonation. Lovely, although I like the aroma better than the flavor and I would have liked it to be a little more viscose. Nevertheless, a pretty beer.

Bottle at the End of an Era tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag, courtesy of my son Matt. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin white head. The aroma is roasty sweet malt, some citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a yeast, light grassy hop, floral bitter dry coffee palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Brent - thanks! Pours opaque black with a medium brown head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is roasty, pine, chocolate, ashtray, citrus. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and medium bitter. Full body and creamy; quite far on the stouty side of a BIPA, but a nice one just the same.

A deep dark IPA with a thin creamy brown head. In aroma, smooth chocolate malt over floral hops, lightly doughy. In mouth, loads of resinous floral hops with mercapto-ethanol, light sulfur notes, burned toasts, unbalanced.

Bomber from Bestway, Greensboro. Pours a near pitch black color with a large creamy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of strong chocolate, roast, herbal hops. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, herbal hops, mild nuts and berries. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness. Solid beer.
