Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a cloudy straw colour with a small white head and good lacing. There is a vague artoma of grapefruit and citrus. More grapefruit in the mouth, along with lime. The texture is zesty, light and watery, but underneath there is a sharpness with hints of pepper. Finish is the worst kind of bitter lemon – leaving a horrible taste in the mouth. Not a bad beer – until the finish !

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a small head. Has a dry hoppy taste, is crisp with a very drinkable texture.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is skunky malt, light citrus fruit, woody hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a malty, light tart citrus, light pepper spice, hop bitter palate and a light bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask, somewhere in Derby 17-08-08 I’m not quite sure where I had this and I even got the name wrong in my sketchy notes I called it Langley. Anyway if this indeed the correct beer it poured mid golden with a nice white head and with good citrussy aromas and flavours, it was a little light and a touch thin but otherwise another very good Abbeydale beer.
