Brief Candles is our dry hopped table beer brewed in collaboration with our friend Mitch of Dageraad Brewing in Barnaby, BC. Brief Candles was brewed with pilsner, vienna and triticale malts, as well as flaked spelt. We hopped Brief Candles with Hersbrucker, Saaz, Tettnang, and Strisselspalt in the kettle then open-fermented it with our house saison yeast. Brief Candles was then dry hopped with Hersbrucker and Strisselspalt.

Slight haze, and pale colour. Sort of phenolic, a bit grainy. Lightish body. Decent. Definitely a Bizarre beer; Dageraad is typically much cleaner. The 2nd recent cross-border collab for Bizarre, who came up for FHF last year.

Aromas are malt, citrus, resin and floral. Flavors are similar to nose with citrus and floral coming out more. Good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Body is a bit light of course. Pretty good overall for this style.

Undated can drunk 4/13/25.
Clear, deep brass with a hint of copper. Large, white head, good retention.
Nose is soft saison yeast. Light pear, black pepper, fresh plaster. The good stuff. Little/no clove/bubblegum/banana. Dainty malts, clean, lightly herbal hops.
Rich, biscuity malts with some white bread and such. Zesty hops with white pepper, lemonpeel and a bit of pear. Lingering maltiness yet properly attenuated. Loads of flavor for its size and not skimping on any maltiness. Clean, zesty, balanced, lovely.
