Beautiful sunshine so time for a lager - aroma of cut grass / slightly bitter hops, pours a light gold with a nice, foamy white head. Taste is crisp and a touch bitter, with a hint of fruit, the high carbonation level gives a zesty mouthfeel, leaving a slightly bitter aftertaste. Nothing wrong with this at all, pretty decent refreshing lager

19th Jan 2019, Lager/Pilsener tasting session at home with the wife; old Veltins Pilsener glasses used. 660ml bottle: BB 31st July 2019. This was the first of five different beers within this style group and sadly was the least interesting and flavoursome. Looked fine, golden body, clean, clear and bright; fast fading white crown on top. Light grainy aroma and taste, leaning towards semi-sweet flavour wise. OK for the price (from my local TESCO store).

Bottle from Tesco, Manchester. Clear golden-blonde with a creamy-frothy head. Looks good, has a fairly pleasant mouthfeel as the water feels good in this one. Ordinary lager nose and taste.

Large format bottle picked up from Tesco. A very clear pale yellow coloured pour with a nice white cap . Aroma is apple, spicy notes, semi sweet, damp hay, light metal on the nose. Flavour is composed of tangy apple, semi sweet hay, metalic, sweaty grains, spicy veg hop. Palate is light bodied, abrasive carboantion. Meh
