Canned 4/1, drunk 5/6/25.
Only moderately hazy. Deep bronze-brass-golden. Creamy, off-white head.
Yeah that's interesting, lots of fresh yeast character 😉 n the nose but it's not doughy or weird. Very mild, unripe passion fruit and guava. Smells more like Nelson or Motueka to me, in that it's not full of chalk and spruce/pine. This is very mellow for Galaxy. Malt seems biscuity, crackery, supportive.
Rich passion fruit. I think that's the closest to passion fruit character I've seen in a beer without actual passion fruit in it. Soft malts, with good depth and dryness. Bitterness on the finish with an earthiness typical of Galaxy, but that's about the only thing Galaxy-like I get.
Did Spyglass travel back in time and source these hops from back when Galaxy was great?! Rich malt, pear, passion fruit and guava lingering.

16 oz can. The aroma is mild passion fruit and house yeast. The flavor clean oranges and soft peach and subtle pineapple. Texture starts juicy and ends dry. Zero bitterness until it gets warm. I can drink this in large amounts.
