Cask at King William IV - London. Pours clear yellow with a creamy white head. The nose holds pine needles, lemon peel, pale grains. Light sweet flavour with faintly tangy lemon, bitter grass, straw, pae bread, citrus rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more lemon rind, light flinty minerals, bitter straw, grass. Decent gold.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruit, vine tomatoes and green apple. Flavour of grapefruit, lemon drops and lavender. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Clean and fresh. Very nice.

(Cask at Cross Keys, Covent Garden, London, 29 Nov 2015) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit, tropical fruit, grass and a touch of resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, grass, biscuity malt and a balanced citric bitterness. Light body, quite dry. A bit thin, but fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

Keg at Cotteridge Wines Tasting Room; clear straw yellow pour with a bubbly white head, aroma has pine and tangerine, taste has resinous pine, light citrus, some biscuit, bitter grapefruit.

Cask at the OCH, 08/10/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is juicy citric peel, hop tones, orange pith, melon, light grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, tangerine, straw, light bread dough, trace of pine needle. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a lingering hop bitterness. Solid session gear.

Cask at the Old Coffee House. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, juicy, citrus, white grape, gooseberry, straw and a touch of sweaty sock (I’m not usign as slang for a Scotsman). The taste is bitter, yet quite clean, pine, white grape, gooseberry, straw, grapefruit zest and pepper with a dry finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Way cleaner than a lot of Brodies’ recent offerings. Eminently drinkable. Great session gear.
