Our ever-changing session IPA, Intense and tropical. Sustained impressions of citrus and very ripe mango, with notes of orchard fruit (pears, apples) and pine needles throughout.

Cask at the Craven Arms, Birmingham on 29th December 2023. Crystal clear gold with shallow whitish foam and full lacing. Hoppy aroma. Citrus and ripe berry fruits in-mouth, and a satisfying bitter grassy finish. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel. Exquisite.

24-27/10/2023. From cask at the 45th Norwich Beer Festival. Pours very slightly hazy pale amber with a small bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy, musty apple, unripe mango, spicy orange, pine. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Drying finish, with a nice dash of lime. Nicely done.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a pale straw with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – some vague citrus and grains. More bite in the mouth though where the texture is sweet. Flavour is mainly floral hops, but with traces of spice, pine and mango.. Plus quite a bit of pepper later on. Finish is somewhat dry. This is pretty a decent beer – properly hoppy unlike a lot of SIPAs.

Handpull cask at the West End Brewery, Fixed Wheel Tap Takeover. Golden and clear with some thin white head. Grainy scent, some floral notes, hay, wet dog. Bittersweet taste, nicely balanced. It's pretty basic, but the undrrlying bittering hop packs a good punch before the finish. It's well enough put together but I'm not a fan.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Drapers' Arms, Bristol 31/12/2018. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Citrus hop and white pepper aroma. Flavour had more fruit, rich tea malts and a dryish finish. Fine.
