Cask at the Gatehouse Tavern, Coventry on 29th October 2018. Gold with shallow off-white foam affording full lacing. Rich and intense fruity hoppiness In aroma. Tangy fruits in-mouth with just a tiny hint of salt which really works. A full, fruity finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a lot of body. Superb and moreish.

Bottle at home from Laithwaite. A lovely deep red on the pour and a pleasant head. This beer was all about the malts and they rightly dominated the taste. There were some hops, but not any where near the number I was expecting from the blurb on the bottle. It was pleasant, but quite underwhelming.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 18th Feb 2017. Clear amber body, beige head with lacing. Piney hops on a malty, toffee base, the finish was dry as the hops took over again after the toffee flavours faded in each sip.

Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester May 2016. Deep brown in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweetish, berry fruits, plenty of leafy hops, bready malts, leading to a lengthy, bitter, finish. Enjoyable.
