440ml can at the Drunk Monk, Wrexham. Mid- to dark brown, a little translucent with a swirl of khaki/tan head. Chocolatey aroma, roast malt, a little yeast extract. Taste starts sweet, then more yeast extract imparting a savoury bitterness leading to the drier finish. Thinnish body with carbonation on the soft side. Good stuff.

Impressive stuff. Great depth of character for the ABV. Rich roast, bitter cocoa, tobacco, ash, earth. Nice body, good condition. Lingering bitter bite. Moreish aftertaste. Really sound.
