Cask at Simon the Tanner. Clear dark brown beer, no head. Softish dark malts, mild coffee. Mild dark fruits. A little piney hop. Light semi dry finish. A bit light on the hop but fine.

Cask at simon the tanner. A clear nutty brown coloured pour with no head. Aroma is nice woody pine, toasted brown bread, resinous, hop, semi sweet brown bread. Flavour is composed of nutty brown bread, earthy toasted pine hops, palate is semi sweet, lowish cask condition, little resinous hop. OK black IPA.

Cask at Simon the Tanner - London. Pours clear deep brown with a foamy, off-white head. Burnt pine in the nose, moderate roast, burnt toast. Medium sweet flavour with nips of ripe orange, scorched toast, baking cocoa, oily pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Lightly resinous on the finish, some melon, bitter earth, cocoa. Nice cask CDA.

Cask. Gravity dispense. Barrow Hill jamboree. Clear, dark brown. Bubbly, off white head. Nose has soft, roast coffee bean. Liquorice. Some piny notes. Taste is light sweet, with some liquorice bitterness. Medium body. Short, bitter finish.

Cask at the Rail Ale Festival Chesterfield, 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin light tan head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry spicy hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Ticked all the boxes :-)

Cask at Rail Ale ’16, 20/05/16. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a well appointed tan cap. Nose is pine needle, liquorice, charr, stewed tropical fruit. Taste comprises earthy tropicana, charr, light roast, spice,cocoa powder. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness and a pine linger. Decent enough CDA.

Cask at Chesterfield Rail Ale Jolly with RB crew; dark coca cola brown pour, bubbly tan head, aroma has resinous pine and dark chocolate, taste has citrusy action along with your regular pine and chocolate action.
