A warped version of Albino Squid Assassin, this super exclusive small batch beer sees us amp up the rye character to the max.

This red rye IPA has spent six months sequestered in rye whiskey barrels, drawing incredible toasty, spicy and oaky flavours from the wood.

The hops have softened and morphed from pithy citrus to ripe autumn fruit, while the malt base has picked up cinder toffee and cinnamon. An incredibly deep and complex IPA.

On tap at BrewDog Shepherds Bush. . Clear ruby colour lasting beige head. Some vanilla on the aroma. Well normally i am not a fan 9f barrel aged beers. But this one works. It takes the fruit and candifies it. The vanilla mixes well with the other flavours. Fruity vanilla. Fruit pastilles. Works well. Like red Rowntree fruit pastiles with vanilla. Delightful.

Keg at Brewdog clerkenwell. A deep amber brown coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is big vanilla oak Bourbon, varnished oak antique table, leather, some fruit cake. Flavour is composed of woody toasted malts with fruit cake and toffee. Maybe a little salted caramels. Bourbon character cones through in the finish with dry oak and vanilla. Palate is medium bodied, highish carbonation, semi dry finish. Good.
