That’s very good. Lovely tart berries. Mellow herbal notes, cherry skins, moderate acidity. Soft woody impressions. Super clean, lightly drying finish. At this ABV, this is danger juice.

200ml @ the source. Head is medium, pink, average retention. Colour is deep dark red, hazy, opaque. Aroma is intensiv red grapes, woody, red grapes skin, funky. Taste is full of grapes skin, funky, woody, red wine, light juicy feeling, decent bitterness, soft carbonation, very good, fully enjoyed.
200ml pours shared with Travis.
A lot of horse blanket, funk, fruit, some tannins and phenols. A bit weird, but still good.

Grape lambic made with grapes harvested at Château La Baronne in southern France, enjoyed at that lovely Lambik-o-Droom, thanks Jan for sharing. Pale off-pinkish white, quickly opening, moussey ring of foam over an initially clear, deep ruby red robe with burgundy glow, shifting to hazy and a tad more brownish further on. Aroma of grape skins, red grape juice, red plum, some swimming pool chlorine, young green tree leaves, wet blue limestone, wild lingonberries, red fruit tea, oak, Picon. Softly tart ('malse') onset, grape skin mingled with red plum and red forest berry impressions, wild blackberries for instance - the grapes are clear enough, but do not overwhelm the lambic esters. Medium carb, vinous body, 'moelleux' almost, but with sharper astringent edges; bready core, lactic sourness and tannic woodiness as expected, but soaked in this even more tannic 'grapeyness', juicy and vinous, with an underlying minerality continuing all the way through. A bitterish green tree leaf effect lingers at the back, along with woodiness and some warming alcohol even, but the grape juiciness still rules supreme, even though 3 Fonteinen has produced many 'juicier' grape lambics. Classy, nonetheless, with this French flair to it, as if trying to convey the rugged dark herbal scents of the maquis vegetation - coarsed, layered, a bit vegetal but still 'grapey' enough and in that sense very entertaining.

Bottle from the brewery.
Aroma is nice and fruity with nice grape notes and a light, herbal earthy note. Light barrel character and hints of grain and alcohol.
Pours a hazy pinkish red with a small, thin, slightly pink head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers.
Flavor is slightly acidic with light grain notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong fruity grape notes with hints of tropical punch notes. Light grain notes.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice wine saison that isn't too acidic. Nice fruity wine notes with light herbal, earthy notes.
Sour, tart, fruity, rd grapes, very vinous. Tannic, dry, very nice.

Season 23|24 | Blend No. 30. 750mL bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a clear dark red with a medium pink-tinged white head. Aroma has some phenols, red wine grape skins, moderate barnyard funk, and a touch of bandaids. Flavour is much better, with moderate barnyard funk, red wine grape skins, and a hint of phenols. There’s something slightly off here but the red wine grape skins do come across well.
