From tap. Pours hazy brown to amber with a small tan hesd. Aroma is almondish and wineous. Dry, citric, tart. Lingering citric and smooth fruity. Dry and herbal. Sourish and dry finish.

330 ml bottle @ Patricks. Unclear, dark reddish brown body with a small, bright-pink head. Aroma of dark cherries, malt, acidity and hint of wood. Flavor is sweet and sour, lots of strong dark cherry flavor with some malty sweetness, hint of almond, quite acidic and a bit juicy towards the end. Fine body and forever lasting aftertaste. Undoubtedly a fine brew, but for me a fruit beer is quite a complex thing. To be able to recognize real berries is a demand, and without doubt this one is the real thing. Still, to make a perfect fruit beer I need more complexity than just real berries and, lots of acidity. This beer also has quite much malt flavor and that’s a big plus counting on the positive side. It’s difficult to put my finger on exactly what’s missing here, but when I manage to get a bit bored with the beer before finish a small bottle like this I can’t give it top score. But for sure this is a fine brew and it might develop more with some cellaring. Would be fun to sample it again in a years’ time if possible.

Nice deep red amber color with a fine tan head. Good lacing down the sides of the glass. Rather rich cherry aroma, but stays within a proper limit. Solid body and a fine smooth carbonation. Mellow nice sweetness and a pleasant mild sourness. Really nice and pleasant rich mellow cherry and wood flavor in this one. Maybe a bit one dimensional. So what. It was really nice. And I want more.
