Half at the Wellington, Birmingham. Clear amber, small off-white head with good retention. Its malty, raisins, caramel, zesty bitterness. Smooth, soft carbonation. Quite tasty, enjoyed it.

Hand pulled half at Lych Gate Tavern on 4th March 2020 !!! I don’t even know Black Haddock … Anyway, the beer. Pours an orange gold with a good white head. Nose has some hops and a small amount of oranges – not overpowering. Much more floral hoppiness in the mouth, along with maramalade and alcoholic strength. A generally rather oily textutre. Finish is bitter with burnt bread crusts. This is nice – one of their better beers. I think it’s more like an IPA than a pale though.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Lych Gate, Wolverhampton on 4th Mar 2020. Smooth white head on a golden body. Caramel esters and flavours rule this fairly sweet ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol, 9/12/2015. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, white, head. Stone fruits, some grassy hops, sweetish cereal mlats and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Mid- to dark gold, clear and seemingly fairly flat. Apricot aroma with a note of soft citrus. The taste is bittersweet with a bitter umami in the finish, like a classic English IPA. Nice full body. Pretty damn tasty.

Cask at the Walsall Camra, beer festival 2015. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is zesty citrus, light grassy hop. The flavour is light bitter with a big crisp aromatic hop bitter, light toothpaste palate. Moderate to light bodied with soft carbonation.
