500ml bottle conditioned: BB 22nd June 2018. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 18th June 2018, just 4 days before it's BBD. Huge off-white/beige head on a misty, grubby brown body. Hasn't aged well to be honest, it's a bit 'passed it' and has an unpleasant aroma and taste, like bad home brew your mate insists you try and you are too polite to tell him it's crap. There are some malts and hops in there, but they've 'turned'. Scored kindly and objectively.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 28/5/2016. Deep copper in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweetish brown ale, with some red fruits, touch of toffee and suggestion of citrus hop, leading to a gentle finish. Fine.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky medium brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, light fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet with a dry earthy mineral floral hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Great label. Can’t say the beer matched it though.

Cask @ Bar Fringe, Manchester. Has an appearance more orange than brown but it’s a mix of both with a creamy head. Has a small grainy malt with a hint of chocolate.

Cask at the Merchants Inn, Rugby, 03/08/14. Chestnut brown with a creamy beige head. Nose is mellow fruit, bready, biscuit, toffee. Taste comprises much the same with a little more depth. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, light bitterness in the close. Ok, looks and feels good but lacks at the business end.
