Voici Lune, Lune!

375ml (thx, Alex G.!) @ 🏡
Aroma: on the peanuts side, chocolate, moderately sweet.
Taste: thankfully more on the chcocolate side, noticeable peanuts. Not sure regarding barrel aging presence here.
Overall: enjoyable (Ryan 😝).

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes, coconut and vanilla with some light peanut notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some coconut, vanilla notes with some peanut notes and a sweet finish. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. Nice pastry stout with good drinkability but hard to find any macadamia nuts notes in this beer..

375ml bottle that pours a real dark brown, almost black, with hardly any highlights. A mocha-coloured head, decent stay and minimal lacing spots. Beautiful aromas of cacao, nuts, vanilla, coconut notes, booze and the roasted malt base. The taste shows very nice nuttiness, with soft coconut, chocolate and Bourbon. Near the end, some light dryness builds, with a touch of bitter cacao. Hints of vanilla lingers to balance things. A slick mouthfeel, lightly oily. Quite an easy-drinking Imperial Stout with lots going, lots added, but not overly sweet, nor overly rich dessert-like.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, vanilla, alcohol warmth, light coffee notes, light nutty notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, vanilla, light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. On tap at Hautes Plaines location.

On tap at their Gatineau taproom. Pours very dark brown with a minimal beige head. Lots of peanuts and coconut on the nose. Flavour has peanut, some coconut, and a touch of bourbon, maybe. I'd have liked more barrel character, this mostly coming off as a run-of-the-mill peanut pastry stout, though definitely a decent one.
