Distinctive banana sweetness and spicy clove notes, balanced by a refreshing, crisp, bitter finish.

50cl bottle from Tescos, Camberley.Bright amber with a slight haze, and a loose creamy white head; bready aroma; soft texture with some bananas and cloves; and a dry, gently bitter finish. Quite a pleasant Hefeweizen, but lacking the punch of the real thing.

500ml bottle at home, from Tesco. Pours hazy yellow, thick white head. Aromas are clove, lemon, light banana. Taste is light yeast, brioche sweet, more lemon. Creamy texture. Sticky finish. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Pours a light hazy lemon gold with a large head. Aroma is vanilla and banana ice cream. Taste is a bit bland. Wheaty with a touch of banana on the finish.

Bottle from Tesco. Hazed golden coloured pour with a persistent white head Aroma i light banana, stale malt, some earthy orange. Flavour is bitter orange, chalky, bready malt, but pretty stale malt. Palate is chalky sharp carbonation. ok stuff. but not anything to write home about.

Bottle from Tesco drunk at home. Hazy pale gold with thick white head. It’s not quite a proper hefeweizen in that there isn’t really any estery aroma. I’m guessing this is made with an ale yeast. Lemony aroma and flavour. Tasty and rather pleasant but nothing like a German Hefeweizen. Some decent hop on the finish. More a wheat ale than a German Hefe. No esters, no banana. Lemon hoppy tasty wheat ale.
