Bottle in NYC with Sander. Pours cloudy orange with a weak, white foam head. Nose holds lots of blueberries, some doughy bread. Medium sweet flavor, sugary dough, blueberry muffins. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, more blueberries and elderberries, some blueberry pancakes, muffins, dough, bread. It’s OK.

Very light weight summer wheat beer, sweetened with elderberries. Nice hazy golden color, but not much in the mouthfeel or palate. Sweet and refreshing, but nothing memorable

A hazed lightly reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth chalky malt wit light berry notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light raspberry notes and light butterscotch. Tasted at Raquette River Beer and Wine Fest, July 13 2012.

This wheat poured a medium yellow, cloudy colour with a very fizzy, bright white head. To the nose there are scents of hopps, bread, cream and light fruit. First sip was very carbonated and somewhat watery. Flavours of fruit juice and toast mostly. Finish was thin but refrreshing.

This is a seriously meh beer. The elderberry is lightly present in the nose, has a blackberry element but very restrained. Wheaty nose with hints of dust and pine shaving. Flavor is very dry, dusty wheaty/grainy with barely any hint of the berries. Crackery. Empty finish. Appearance is lifeless, golden-copper.

Bottle. Yeasty wheat malt and berry aroma. Apricot with a small white head. Yeasty wheat and light berry flavor with a slight bitter finish. Light carbonated body. Since I grow elderberries, which are rather bitter and not at all sweet, I’m kind of wondering what type of "natural flavor" was used, because this berry flavor is nothing at all like elderberry.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly hazy dark-orange with about a half finger of white head. Aroma is yeasty with a little sour berry. Taste is light sour and light sweet. Yeasty with some sweet blackberries. Light bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a surprisingly long finish. Overall, not bad. A little bland for my taste but a good intro to craft.

Very nice creamy looking pour. Head is thick then fades to about a quarter inch. Smell is somewhat metallic with a tinge of berry in there. Quite smooth and yes there is a backbone of elder berry, wurprizingly like the elderberries that grow in my own back yard. Good amount of co2 in there. Not overly fruity but the berries do have an impact. Becomes a little medicinal as the session continues. Yes, does become more like cough medicine towards the finish.
