The larkins are back & so is Darling Buds. Maris Otter & Crystal malt combined with wheat make this a light refreshing bitter.

[Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe] Light amber with a moderate white head. Sweet and floral up front, some straw, smooth and creamy and with just enough hop bite to balance it all. A tasty, satisfying summer bitter.

Cask at the Royal Blenheim, Oxford, 21-09-09 at CAMRA Oxford Beer Festival planning mtg. Pours gold once again much like the Batemans beforehand this had very good clarity a nice white head, and also in spiffingly good condition in. There isn’t the hops that I expected but they do show on the nose albeit in a rather restrained manner, touch floral also. Taste is refreshing and lightly fruity, there is a slight hoppy bite and an intial zippiness that starts to fade after a while, that said I rather enjoyed this and were I not driving I think that I would have been happy to have had another.
