1/3 cask pour at GBBF Winter. Dark brown, ruby pour with a creamy head. Aroma is roasty with some pit fruit elements, plums. taste is malty, dark roast, fruity, ending with a little bit of dryness.

Cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Deep ruby red body, thick top. Nose is gently roasted, some nuts, and a bit of coffee. Taste has a strange crispness to it, almost refreshing in a way, with little or no finish. Enjoyed this, but I don’t know why. It had gone so quickly.

Cask @ Jacob’s Beer House, Bradford. Extremely dark, but clear red with a creamy head. Light, crisp, and easy drinking, but never gets high on any flavours. There’s some roasted malt in its nose.

Cask at the Reading beer festival. Light roastiness, a little chocolate, maybe a little watery but jyst what you’d want if you’d been working down t’pit all day. Yer classic mild, in other words. Not bad.

Cask at The Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a bubbly light tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is light bitter with a light fruit malt, weak chocolate palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. This wasn’t half bad I’ve got to say. Won’t get highly rated but it is what it is and it does what it does very well!
