21st October 2014
Hazy gold beer, untidy white head. Palate is light with a mild minerally crispness. Very light and thin malts. Nice pithy orange and grapefruit hops, the bitterness tempered by a sweet floralness. Light crisp finish. Mild peel bitter linger. Goes down very easy indeed!

Bottle from Dave (thanks a million) [260314]
Light orange, hazy, big bubbly frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of big citrus fruits, tropical fruits, lots of orange, mango, very fruity, very light sweet pale malt background, getting some gooseberry as it warms up, complex citrus aroma
Taste as aroma, orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, bitter orange, soft light sweet pale malts, huge bitter citrus zest
Palate - soft carb, medium body, soft smooth texture, soft light malts, very bitter zest. Finish has loads of crushed citrus zest, tons of grapefruit zest, long lingering very bitter zest that’s tempered by the light pale sweet malts. Great palate.
Overall - Absolutely superb APA, huge fresh zest, so much citrus. Often beers that are very bitter are astringent - this wasn’t at all.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 3/3/2014. Golden with a slight white head. Massively hoppy, beer with grapefruit, slightly creamy malts and a long and bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon 6th March 2014 Pours light/mid gold with white bubbly head. Furiously bitter, really bitter, citrussy and very pithy, loads of lemon rind. Dry finish, christ this is dry but very good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

500ml bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy golden colour. Minimal, white head. Aroma of Honeydew melon, lemon zest. Light honey notes, too. Taste is initially ripe orange sweet, with the bitterness coming, slowly, some time after. Could be a lovely beer, but the condition is not right I don’t think. It feels a little lifeless and a bit stale.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2013. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is of citrus fruit stale malt with some hoppy spice. The flavour is weak bitter with a weak bodied slightly watery palate. All the enjoyment is up front and then it rapidly fades.
