Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with dark chocolate, charred notes, soft whiskey, touch of liquorice and tar. Flavour is fairly bitter with a moderate to medium sweetness and a little booze in the finish. Full velvety body. Very nice with a thoughtful barrel imprint.

Corpo pieno, carbonazione leggera. Notevole

33 cl bottle, as Black Damnation 16, vintage 2020. A glossy jet black pour with a thick, tight, light brown head with good retention. Aroma is mainly dark dry fruits and berries: raisins, prunes, dates. There's also carob, cola jellies and molasses. Onset is sweetish, crisp and mellow. Full-bodied, powerful (even boozy), with a very bitter and very long finish. Aftertaste is espresso, smoke and cocoa shake. It will certainly age for decades (this bottle was 4 y.o. and yet clearly immature.) A fantastic winter warmer or after-dinner ale.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma reveals plenty of roast, dark cocoa, and smoky whiskey barrels. Flavour is dominated by the Speyside barrels, with plenty of smoky whiskey barrels upfront, followed by moderate roast, some iodine, a touch of soy sauce, light dry cocoa, and gentle dark sugars. There's even a decent hoppy bitterness. This is carried nicely by those fine barrels. Excellent.
