Was being heavily distracted by linguistic and cultural hot takes from a second generation Prague Serb who insisted on discussing stuff he had unwittingly picked up hardcore national / fascistoid stances about without knowing better or being aware how off they were... Anyway, I mean, has to be this, nothing else was purple that day. Musty red wine grapes, sweetish. Caramel, vanilla, red wine / berry notes. To be rerated.

Taster on tap at Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours muddy brown without any head to speak of. Caramel, fudge and vanilla - and hints of berries. Reminds me of a certain caramel ice cream from childhood, but this is not what I'm looking for in a beer. Smooth, sweet and dessert, for sure, some acidic notes as well. Definitely not bad, rather tasty, but still not my cup of tea.

Appearance is very dark red with a browny tinge, no head at all. Aroma is blackberries, cookies, fruit crumble, bit of raspberry. Taste is fruit crumble, blackberries, cherry, pastry, biscuity notes, hints of caramel, berry fruit, blueberries, full and smooth, blueberry muffin, raisiny breakfast pastry, hint of sourness but understated. Strawberry jam at the end. Smoothie-thick mouthfeel. Quite a bit going on but works well.

440ml can. Pours thick deep purple with no head. Aroma is blackberry, raspberry and biscuit. Taste has blackberry and cherry to start, with cherry biscuits on the finish. Jammy.
