Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate/fudge notes with some bourbon notes and coconut/vanilla with some residual sugar notes and floral coffee. Taste is also a mix of chocolate/fudge notes with some coconut/vanilla notes with some bourbon notes and a sweet finale with some coffee notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. Nice mix of pastry notes with balanced bourbon barrel notes.

375ml bottle that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black, with no highlights. The head is darker mocha-coloured and stick around just a bit. A light film is left on the glass, and some tiny white particles (or minuscule foamy lace) on the brew. Big Bourbon nose with the roasted and chocolate malts. Raisin notes that appear stronger in the taste, but what blends with it, smooths it down. Chocolate, caramel flavours with coffee notes that adds bitterness, cutting the sweetness and hints of vanilla, coconut lingers in the background. An oily mouthfeel that is cut by the slow building dryness. Quite a nice, smooth Imperial Bourbon Stout that is not too sweet, but still lots going one - all well-balanced.
