This pale gold thirst-quenching guzzler is our bestselling ale. Lots of hop aroma with a near sweet start leading to a clean bitter finish.

Can bought at The Good Intent. Clear copper gold. Thick foamy white head which is verging on translucent. Aroma has doughy malts and grains. Flavourwise there's a tangy citrus intro followed by tge aforementioned dough and grains. A slightly off sourness. Light-medium bodied. Thin to slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Had worse or more boring gs.

Half-pint, cask at King Charles II. Clear late straw coloured body. Low white head, spotty lacing. Light herbal hops on the nose. Taste of grain and moments of ripe fruits. Distant bittersweet end. Rather thin on the swallow. Accepted. (Worcester 07.07.2018).

Cask (backlog). Yellow colour with a small white creamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet fruits, mild nectar, bready and some dough like notes as well as some mellow grassiness to it. Flavour is earthy, grassy, herbal with some citrus, bread and mild nectary notes to it. Refreshing and tastier than the "average golden ale".

11th July 2015: cask half-pint in the Duke William. Very pale, straw coloured body, the head a white film of not much. Mild citrusy aroma with a grapefruit like flavour. Not in great condition considering it was drank at the Brewery Tap and they knew that a large CAMRA group were coming. I wasn’t part of that group, but I knew some of them when they came through the door.

Cask at the Duke William during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Pours clear, light yellow with a tight, white foam head. Lovely golden ale with nice balance, sweet dough, light straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great condition. Sweet finish with doughy pale malts, white bread and subtle bitter straw. Good one.
