Cask at The Windsor Castle Inn during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Pours clear, pale yellow with a frothy white head. Lovely aroma, lots of dried bread. Light sweet flavor, quite clean with lemon rind and simple malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Light dry lemon rind finish with pale dough sugars. Good drinking beer.

Black country beer bash. Cask at the Windsor castle. Clear golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is wet socks a touch sulphur. Grassy bitterness. Low carb. Not up to par of the other beers at Sandler’s.

Cask at the Windsor Castle, Lye, on the RB Black Country Bash - 06/07/13. Lightly hazed pale golden/blonde with a good sized white head. Nose is toasted malts, light sulphur, fruits. Taste comprises toasty malt, citrus notes, fruits, grain. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, very light bitter notes in the finish. Looks and feels good but dissapoints a little at the business end!

Black Country Beano. Cask at the Windsor Castle. Almost clear gold beer, good white head. Light palate, slightly soft. Fine carbonation. Bitter floralness. Light malt cream. Mellow citrus turns to bitterish peel .Joins up well. Tasty.

Cask at Windsor Castle: cloudy amber pour with frothy white head, non descript aroma, taste has sweet malts a bit of citrus, a bitter middle, I’m a Saddler’s fan but this misses a few boxes.

Tap at the Windsor Castle, Lye. Poured a crystal clear light straw colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is musty dry weak bitter. The flavour is medium bitter, weak malt, some malt in the pâté and in the finish. It would be interesting to taste it cooler. A very decent real ale.
