Cask at the Black Country Arms, Walsall. Poured a fairly clear amber with a thin white head and bags of lace. The aroma is malty and that’s where it ends. The flavour is medium bitter, dry, spicy on the palate and with some fruity notes. A super ale and very drinkable but I can’t say I got the ginger!

The ginger is apparent in aroma and flavours, but is not overbearing, hops are also evident in the aroma.

Cask gravity at Six Bells Woodchurch. Yes some ginger on this. Clear pale amber colour. Quite light on the ginger. Some bite on finish. Ok. Nothing of great remark here.
