(Draft at Biererei, Berlin, 19 July 2025) Black colour with brief head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with strong black coffee, cacao, soy sauce, liquorice, bourbon and vanilla. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with notes of sweet espresso, cacao, dark chocolate, caramel, treacle, soy sauce, oak wood, bourbon and a balanced coffee/cacao bitterness. Full body, sweet. On the sweet side, but rich and tasty. Very nice.

In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light vanilla, woody notes, alcohol warmth, light cherry blossom, very nice and rich. On tap at Hautes Plaines location.

On tap at their Hautes-Plaines taproom. Pours black with almost no head. Tons of roasted malts and bourbon barrels on the nose. Flavour has roasted malts, burnt bread crusts, charred bourbon barrels. Super rich flavour with excellent bourbon barrel character. It was worth dragging myself out to Hautes-Plaines just for this.

Intense dark sweet and lightly roasted malty with layers of chocolate, caramel and toffee like sticky malty sweetness, some dark dried fruit shred, full bodied. big punchy bourbon and vanilla coalesce into the dark malty lingering finish. Lovely.
