Pretty much black with a tan head. Full bodied. Aroma is dark malts, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, and brown sugar. Full bodied and silky smooth. Flavor is chocolate, light coffee, roasted malt, and a bit of vanilla. Finish is sweet and velvety. It’s a little too sweet, but extremely tasty regardless. Highly enjoyable porter and great on this cold Melbourne night.

Bottle from Stewarts Wine, Brisbane. Black with a medium tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, licorice and some coffee. The finish was quite bitter. A good one.

Med brown, thin head, fairly strong choc aroma, with light toffee. Sweet, full and creamy body with lingering toasted malt and coffee bitterness.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Dark mahogany pour. Some froth with medium lacing. A big bold porter, but very smooth with no bitterness. Coffee and chocolate comes through in the awesome flavour and I do believe there is a hint of fruitiness on the palate as they suggest in the tasting notes at the bar. Roll over Fosters! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with ruby highlights and a small lasting head.Nose shows dark chocolate, chocolate liqueur, roasted malt and nutty notes. Nice stuff.Similarly rich flavours, lots of liquorice, roasted coffee and cocoa. A little full on and brash however.Could use a fuller, creamier texture.

Bottle, 12C. Dark brown with a light tan head that fades to a coat. Aroma is very chocolatey with light roasted malt and coffee, some condensed milk, hazelnuts. Very smooth. Taste is again chocolatey, but not that sweet with some slight coffee astringency and quite a bit of bitterness. A little overhopped for me, but an elegant drop.
