At Brugs Bierfestival, 4 February 2018. Cheers to Anke & Pieter!

Clear dark amber with a big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, nuts, caramel, red & dark fruits. Tastes light to medium malty/caramel-like sweet and light hoppy bitter; hoppy, slightly metallic finish. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Okay, just a bit underwhelming next to all those other, better beers.

Cloudy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, settles quickly leaving yeast islets, good lacing. Strong roasted malt aroma, caramel, dried dark fruit, honey, alcohol. Taste is light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, light toffee, nutty and spice notes. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation, the rather thin aftertaste is mild sweetbitter, roasted malts and light spicy notes as well as alcohol in the finish, nice tasty brew.
