Black colored, thick, small tan creamy head. Aroma is of chocolate, roasted malt, light oak and lots of whisky. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, chocolate and roast, lots of whisky, some wood, alcohol bit of a bite, dryish finish, whisky aftertaste. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. (On tap, De Struise brewery, Oostvleteren)

Bottle at the Hanging Bat, shared with friends, over memories, and thanks to a small inheritance. (It was still worth it, mind you). Black as he'll, with a thin tan head. Nice lacing. Lots of liquorice and chocolate on the nose, the whisky coming in subtly, well judged. Taste is rich and smooth, creamy, chocolate and more whisky. So well-balanced. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong roast, dark chocolate, wood, smoke. Thick, chewy roast, cocoa, wood vanilla, boozy finish, very good.

Thanks Helmut. Strong sweet malty body, some peaty whisky notes in the back, some bittet cooffee beans. Roasted malts. Drinking great.

Bottle 473/2000. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is red fruits, chocolate, some smoke, caramel, burnt sugar and candy sugar. Taste is chocolate, ash, burnt sugar, chalky, coffee, liquorice. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice one, but not completely balanced.
